Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 17:8) I always thought that being in the shadow of our Father's wings would be warm and soft... but as I was led in creating this piece I felt the Lord's presence while being IN THAT HARD PLACE.. beautiful... when we are in that hard place and surrounded by chaos and confusion we can still be in the security of His wings... and when we are looking out from that secure place we can see the feather tips of His wings, the holiness and the hope in any situation!

"It Is Well With My Soul" is the name of the hymn that Horatio Spafford wrote in the 1800s about personal tragedy. The artwork was created from a client's request who heard the hymn at a concert. The words in the hymn are based on 2 Kings 4:26 and express Horatio's unwavering trust in the Lord. You can click on the artwork to view the hymn and story. Elements in "It Is Well" consist of the deep and vast sea, typography that takes on the written hand, steering wheel represents that God is always at the helm... colors are soothing... i wanted some sort of ship going through the water... i found one from my archive of a fishing boat.. zooming in on the boat... the boat was named "Daddy's Girls"... amazing that this boat would have the perfect name to tie in with Horatio's story.. only God can work in this way!
